In late 2006 Jonathan Peters was honored to hear that he was voted the number one D.J in America, by Dj times magazine. The music industry these days are not the same as what it was, in order to make a hit one must be dedicated and pour their heart and soul into every project they are part of. With number one billboard hits such as Sylver's "All This Time" The triple platinum remix of Whitney Houston's "My Love Is Your Love" and thenewest remix he just recently created for the amazingly talented
Mrs. Christina Aguilera's number one single "Hurt", has proven to the world that Jonathan Peters is dedicated. His reinterpretations of Donna Summers "Love Is A Healer", Bob Marley's "Sun Is Shining", Chaka Khan's 'Never Miss The Water", Amber's "Above The Clouds", Reina's "No One's Gonna Change You" and Reberta Flack's "Killing Me Softly". Not only became number one hits at Jonathan's parties but they too soared to the number one spoton the billboard charts. His catalogue of #1 hits has branded him as akey player in the music industry and has opened up many other doors for him bringing in offers from artists such as, Janet Jackson, Mary JBlige, Ricky Martin, Deborah Cox, Brian McKnight & Paula Cole just to name a few. His state of the art Chelsea recording studio, home to his independent record label Deeper Records, is constantly being flooded with the freshest new talent hungry to have the opportunity to work with the legendary Jonathan Peters. Whether it be behind the turntables, the mixing board, or his own personal computer, Jonathan Peters is constantly creating new sounds, new lyrics, new beats and mostof all new ways to tell stories and move people through his music. Lets not forget where it all started, at the young age of 17, Jonathan Peters began his extraordinary DJ'ing career as the resident DJ at Cafe Iguana, Save The Robots, Nells, Cafe Society, Club USA, Mirage, Tavern On The Green, Roxy, Limelight, Spirit & Exit. Just by this it is clear to see he was a fixture in New York City Night life. But It was his 7 year run at the legendary Sound Factory that brought him to another level. Whether it was just a regular Saturday night, which drew 4000 fans or his thematic monthly events that drew in 8000 fans Jonathan Peters believed in them and its apparent they believed in him. It was in his 20 hour long musical journeys that proved the dedication of his
fans and his dedication to them. Not only has he touched the lives of New Yorkers, and people all through out the United States but he has extended himself into other countries such as Italy, Japan, Brazil. Germany, France and the Philippines, which only reinforces the exceptional reputation of his events and unique musical style.
