My absolute favorite thing to do is go swing dancing (either that are sit on my arse, it's a tossup :P). Though lately I've been taking lessons in salsa dancing too. I'm very tech savvy, which makes me popular only among geeks and tech heads. But I'm also a huge fan of film, music, and philosophy. I'm a bit shy at first, but warm up after that. I love playing the guitar and going to the cinema, watching anime (though that's a hobby that so very few share), playing games (World of Warcraft, so addicting), and going to restaurants (sushi is my favorite).
Most of my friends are from school, so it would be nice to meet other people in the LA/OC area. My biggest interests are movies and swing (and maybe salsa) dancing, but I have lots of interests and pretty much would like to meet anyone (or everyone, you can have a million friends, right?)
I've been trying to introduce people to this band called The Format. Message me if you want to hear some. Other than that right now I'm really into The Earlies, The Killers, Death Cab for Cutie, Modest Mouse, Franz Ferdinand, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Kasabian. There's a lot of others, I have something like 30 GB of music so I can't really just list everything I have can I?
Pirates and Superman were completely awesome! I just watched this suspense/horror movie called 'The Descent' and it really rocked my world. If you like Kevin Smith, be sure to go see Clerks 2.
I love Firefly! I also really like Lost, CSI, and House. I don't watch a lot of TV, but I can tell you that I'm not a fan of reality shows.
I like to read Philosophy and Theology books (duh), but I also enjoy reading for leisure. I just finished up 'High Fidelity' by Nick Hornby and will be starting on 'The Wheel of Time' book series pretty soon.
Is this my chance to be trite and generic? Yay! Seriously, though, I'd say my biggest hero is Jesus (again, duh) because he understood people on a really intimate level. He realized that once you standardized and popularized something it lost some of the truth that it had held onto. I think one of the greatest problems in religion right now is the marketing of salvation as an us vs. them scenario. Jesus rarely spoke ill of others, and usually after they had started by being very rude, he believed that you need to look to your own soul and not point to the faults of others
