AREA (wednesdays)
The New Hotspot is the Trendiest Hollywood Night Club in Los Angeles, with the most Celebrities and Star sightings bar none.The design of Area is a marvel, The club flows like a laid-back living room, with its caramel-dotted, white terrazzo floors, wood columns, white leather Barcelona chairs and delicate lighting.An outdoor patio, visible from the club through a clear glass wall, offers such guests as the Lohans, Simpsons and Richies a chance to see and be seen. They also might note the exterior's spot-on mid-century landscaping.At Area, it's all about ease, and you can also dine (the platters of food are generous) with your dancing. BOTTLE SERVICE is always recommended for the sophisticated clientÃ¨le.Of course, these days no proper hot club is complete without sexy waitress costumes. Area's dolls are dressed straight out of the early '60s. L.A. designer Debby Dean created ensembles that include pop art mini-dresses, shimmery hot pants, fishnet stockings and knee-high, white patent leather boots.The music is easy on the ears too. CLUB ELEMENT (fridays)
Yes, Hollywood gossip-fodder soirees are often held here. Yes, the list of regulars includes Leo, Tobey, Avril and the sisters Duff. And yes, even the non-boldfacers are eyebrow-raisingly attractive. Once you make it in, however, the cool, casual crowd is more likely to offer a genuine smile and friendly chatter than the glazed, I'm-too-cool-for-this stare perfected at the other Hollywood clubs.
MANSION (saturdays)
Since opening its doors with a secret show by The Killers, this sleek, modern CLUB has become a playground for young Hollywood pros and the celebrities they worship!Though the multi-roomed playpen is located on the opposite corner of the Hollywood & Highland complex, the MANSION/Montmartre Lounge is hard to find. Even on the colorful, candlelit balcony, which serves as an outdoor lounge and the path inside, the hustle and bustle of Hollywood Boulevard already feels miles away. Two lounges are decorated with brown velor couches, a VIP section is outfitted with white vinyl seats, and on the large dance floor we once spied Efren Ramirez, who played Pedro in Napoleon Dynamite, showing off his theatrical dance moves to 50 Cent. That's hot.MANSION/Montmartre Lounge, home to Leonardo DiCaprio's Aviator premiere party, Alicia Keys' Grammy after-party, Ford Models Party - just to name a few...
