Born in 1963 in Piedimonte Matese, a small town close to Naples in south Italy, I began playing the first acoustic guitar at age 14.
When I was 16, I switched to bass guitar, as pressed by two my friends which in that time didn't have the bass player (they played music of Lee Ritenour, Mick Goodrick, Zappa and others fusion/rock heroes just guitar, bass and drums for many years).
I quickly moved from playing fusion and rock to blues, jazz and bossanova music with this trio.
At age 18, I began to play the acoustic bass and was touring with my new group "Acoustic Tribe" featuring country and west coast unplugged covers with the singer and guitarplayer Antonio Iuliano, Freddy Ghidelli on guitar and the drummer JP Franco.
In the last years, I was continued to be busy with the Antonio's artistic feeling, with revolving session musicians, Carlo Fantini, Oreste Sbarra, Guido Terracciano, Gabriele Canelli and Pasquale Riccio.
As a studio musician, I played on bluesman Carmine Migliore's album La favola and as a performer, I played with Carmine Migliore band.
Sometime I play with my german brothers from Hamburg Claus, Martin & Gunther of "Yellow Moon". Sounds Great!!!
In the 2005, I created with Emanuela Di Lullo (voice & colour) & Sally Cangiano (now replaced Carlo Fantini on guitar),
"the dream of Butterfly" trio,
where each member would be an equal partner and could contribute in the new acoustic arrangements of the famous songs of Beatles, Earth Wind & Fire, Supertramp,Police, Stevie Wonder, Prince, U2....... with this slogan:
less is more!
From the 2007 I'm glad to be a part of Markbass family, the best amps and, abowe all, the best peoples in the world!
