Life without music is life without soul...and a picture tells a thousand stories

About Me

A photographer with a soul for searching...
I've always been a keen photographer, ever since I borrowed my Dad's old Kodak camera for a trip I took to New York & New Jersey on my own, when I was just 15 years old. I was blown away by Manhatten and all those huge buildings that seem to be everywhere! The yanks sure know how to do things BIG! It was such a great experience and so when I came back to Brighton, I was really keen to see my photos. The day I got them developed and found out that all my pictures had failed to come out, was such a downer. But that didn't stop me taking up photography. Even today I wonder what they were like. I have since been back to New York 3 years ago, when I was living there for 3 months and it's still full of huge buildings!
Since that day I have only lost 2 sets of photos in 26 years of taking photos: once at go-karting event where I lost my whole camera equipment (someone stole it!) and once in Bali where my friend left my camera in a taxi after I had taking photos of him DJing! That wasn't a happy moment.
Since that first trip to New York I have taken photos everywhere I've been. Throughout the 1980's & 1990's I photo documented the British Scooter Rally Scene and plan to publish a book on the subject.
I have also taken many photos at at Formula One events around the globe including: Britain, Austria, Spain, Canada, Australia & Malaysia.
After working in Holland for 3 years for Apple Computers, I decided it was time to persue something different. So I packed up my bags and travelled the world during 2000 & 2001. Over that period I managed to take over 3000 photos and discovered some amazing places and met dozens of cool people from all walks of life. It was an experience that I will always treasure and never forget. I recommend it to everyone who has the opportunity and enthusiasm.
During my time in South East Asia I discovered a little island called Bali in Indonesia. What an amazing place this island is, even with all the commercial influence it brings. The people and culture are like no other. Since then I have been back 4 times.
On my recent 3 month trip to Beautiful Bali I took over 7000 photos, some of which I will be displaying on my website in the near future. Check out my Bali Clubbing website which has nearly 3000 photos from 2004/5: BaliClubbing.com
I now specialise in Event Photography , which covers anything from Small Live Band Performances, Corporate Style Events to Large Scale International Festivals. So if you are interested in hiring me for any event, please feel free to email me to discuss your specific requirements. If any new, unsigned or upcoming bands are interested in a portfolio or getting some live photos of their gigs, please don't hesitate to contact me and we can discuss some details and arrangements for very reasonable rates.

Collecting Vintage Movie Posters (I have thousands, so maybe I should give a few away?)
I prefer Pinball Machines than video games...it's the lure of the silver ball that does it for me

Anyone from Bali or Indonesia. I love that country, as it's become my adopted home and hopefully one day it will be where I'll always be. The people are warm & friendly and the culture & scenery is amazing. Everyone should take a trip to this majestic country of 13,000 island jewels...
Anyone who brings positive feelings to this world

Any Steve McQueen fans...the coolest man to stroll this planet
