The Murdered was formed in 2004 out of a desire to bring metal and hardcore back into Atlanta's then struggling music scene. Initially consisting of the remnants of local bands Noel, Shut The Fuck Up & Listen, and Style Over Substance, we quickly made a point that our new project was something entirely different from these particular bands. 6 Months into forming the band, original frontman Dan Ferrell left to join the United States Armed Forces. His replacement was none other than ex- To Watch The Stars Fade guitarist John Rosser. Having no previous experience as a frontman, he joined the fold and together we recorded the newer 7- song demo that would become our Tribunal records debut "...And The Maggots Shall Inherit The Earth". After 2 years of constantly playing shows, pulling weekend warrior tours, and writing what was supposed to become the material for our full length, The Murdered set out to re-invent themselves. After solidifying a new lineup and writing a handful of new songs that proudly display the new direction we're heading in, The Murdered is back in the saddle and ready to melt faces all over the continental United States and anywhere else on the globe that's willing to house us. This is passion. This is heart. This is a movement. This is the soundtrack.
