We are a band amongst the holy trinity of 60's British Rock n' Roll. We started out when we met in school at an early age when Roger Daltrey invited fellow school friend, John Entwistle to join his band, The Detours. When we found ourselves looking for a new guitarist, John reccommended another boy from the same school, Pete Townshend. New member changes later changed the band name to The High Numbers. Eventually we began looking for a new drummer and chose a guy that appeared at one of our shows and auditioned by almost wrecking the regular drummer's kit, announcing himself on the scene as one of rock's most extrovert personalities: Keith Moon. Now an established four piece (Daltrey: Vocals, Entwistle: Bass, Townshend: Guitar, and Moon: Drums) working mainly in the West London club circut, our band looked for further change in direction. Having made our name as the darlings of the Mod Scene, we reverted to an earlier name, The Who, and worked on changing our image and style, which is still experiencing many changes today.
