ENNUI started from the interest to make down-tempo ambient horror music based off the silent hill games...chris of planumoribund , the canadian horrorscape band, decided to join and collaberate with vocals. ENNUI relocated from tempe, AZ to rolla, MO, bennett then joined interested in making handmade noises. chris was kicked out on account of he lives in canada, he is responsible for the vocals and artwork off the first demo. bandname was changed from ...something inside enshrouding darkness to FEAR of Impending DOOM due to Rollanites already recognizing the name.

FUN FACTS:ENNUI was homeless the past three months.
Influences: skinny puppy, acid bath, high on fire, akira yamaoka, merzbow, sunn O))), planumoribund, earth, throbbing gristle, OhGr, nirvana.
Sounds Like: disturbing wall of ambient noises leaves you with something like aural wallpaper to a nightmare, with metallic scrapings, hollow clanging, distant rumblings and industrial grinding noises all featured prominently.
