in the past few months me and my father have been at odds about alot of things with each other and hes kicked me out of his house and refuses to talk to me or anything. His side of the family is really stuck up and high on them selfs and im just not like that, and they keep pushing and telling me to say it was my fault and that i was wrong. i KNOW i wasnt i dont want to be something im not for them and i wont let them controll me. But i feel like a bad person for also ignoring and rejecting my dad like i did. should i just cave in and say it was my fault ?? or should i not ?
You arent the only one that has come to me with this situation believe it or not. It is very similar at the very least. Its really hard to say exactly what you must do seeing as I dont know what the arguement was in general about. So this is my advice. One day, go out to lunch or dinner with your father. Just the two of you. Tell him you would like to talk about a few issues adult to adult. Father to daughter. And then calmly and rationally explain to him in detail how you are feeling as you have done with me. And then when he talks listen completely and dont respond until he is completely finished. And go from there. I hope everything goes smoothly.
What do you do when your mother doesn't want you talking to your own boyfriend? it's really been bugging me for the past week. Please can i have your advice?
Is there a valid reason for it? If anything you need to sit down with your mother and talk with her, woman to woman, adult to adult, you need to completely listen to her side with an open mind, you have to be open minded through out the whole thing. Just that fact that you say mom we should sit down and talk, or mom can i talk with you about something, will show her you are a mature adult.

Dont make plans at the last minute make sure you do them several days in advance. And try talking to you mother. It will ease the pressure on the situation
