look .. . I started out wanting to play guitar .. .
my homeboy arthur from 211pl killed la bamba in my first grade talent show . . .the girls loved it . ..i was in . ..
then by 8 i used to sneak on the f-train to 72st/queens blvd. to play with all the musical instruments i couldn't afford . .samash was the only place that would let you play all day without buying something . .. but that sucked when they closed . . .finally my mom got me a guitar . . and an amp .. . i was hyped because crossroads had just come out . ..
so i felt connected to the fantasy of playing music . .. but never could really put songs together . .. .so my neighbors son got a drum machine .. .but he hated it, .. .so i convinced him to give it to me . . .it was crazy because nwa, public enemy had popped .. . and i had the mpc-60 .. .the machine that was drivin' the nation . .. .so the connection was all the more real .. . i fell off during sing . . matt and russel had all the music on smash .. .it was like 90-91' . ..the city had the highest recorded crime rate during the whole century .. .thank god . ..we done moved to rockland county . .. and back then it was like . .'rockland' .. watch out them troopers kill people that far upstate .. .it was a rude awaking for me having to adjust to downtown Valley Cottage . .. then the boom bap came out . . . to much hip hop 4 rockland . .but i had bumped into some lifelong journeymen along the way . ..friends like jas bartee, adam deitch, dominic white . . .made me feel like hip hop could be .. . right here in rockland . .. then i met charles paul and jermaine, .. neil anderson ,nic kasper, adam smirnoff, eric krasno . . .it wasn't until i had met hundreds of kids that had went through some of same sht as me that i realized how insignificant my struggles were . . .
once i realized that .. .rockland had made it all the more comfortable for the focused attempts at music making . .. and throughout the years i have learned alot about music because i had learned alot life through my experiences with people. . .these experiences inspire the music of life.
