QUESTION: What is a Clutch Girl?
ANSWER: A Clutch Girl would be one of three types of women...
-
A "Clutch Girl" is a female rider/stunter who has a love for and participates in riding sportbikes, quads, pocketbikes, scooters, choppers, drag bikes, or motorcross.
A "Clutch Girl" is a female model that promotes and represents The Clutch and Clutch Girlz on, as well as off camera. They show up to tapings and events to help us put the word out about the show and the sport. These women are racially diverse and come from different economic and geographic backgrounds.
A "Clutch Girl" is a female that has a love for bikes PERIOD. She may not ride and she may not model, but she lives life in the fast lanes and enjoys the people that live the same way. She's the first to show up to all of the parties and the last to leave. She's the one that sends you a card or visits when you are laid up after you take a spill on your bike (as we often do). She's the one who has the back of every Clutch Boy and Clutch Girl out there. To me, these are the real Clutch Girlz.
Welcome to the Clutch Girl Mag's myspace page. The Clutch has had an overwhelming amount of inquiries about The Clutch Girlz or becoming a Clutch Girl. Clutch Girl Magazine was created in response to these requests. It's a magazine that re-defines the term "EYE CANDY". This magazine will re-introduce the marriage between model and machine in a very sexy way. I am definitely one that can appreciate a grind and I am not hatin' in the slightest way, but I often see the same models over and over and over again in the same magazines. I see girls voting and fighting just to be in these booty magazines. Frankly, it sickens me. That's when I decided to have these same beautiful women fighing to be in our booty magazine!!! The thought of that made me feel better, much better. But seriously, this magazine is to give the next hot chick a chance to shine because that is needed. Although this magazine has an obvious focus on motorcycles, we will often do a "Tokyo Drift" into pics and photo sessions in a "Tuner" theme. Why? Beacuse "Import Tuning" is a sister-culture to the sportbike culture and we don't want to forget about that. Rest assured, the focus is mainly bikes.
Clutch Girl Mag will be a quarterly magazine, printed for news stands, with about 12-14 models in each issue. We may do a digital version in the future. The magazine will mainly be shot by two of the hottest photographers on the streets; Gabriel "Trini" Scindian of Washington, DC and Derrick "DBrown" Brown of Austin, TX. Launch date TBA. If any model, rider/stunter, fashion stylist, or photographer is interested in submitting photos of themselves, their work, or photos of their bikes, quads, MXs, etc. for consideration, please send us a line to [email protected]
