Gregor started playing classical piano as a small kid. He got fascinated by the new House sound after hearing the record "Royal House Can you party" and around the age of 14 he started making electronic music on his dads Commodore Amiga.
Together with his childhood friend dj Ernst he won a talent prize at their high school (In Aeternum award. Stedelijk Gymnasium, Haarlem ) and with the money from the award + some loans they bought their first gear.
From that moment they spent every free minute in their small home studio, while fantasizing about hearing their on music in a club.
His first record was released in 1994 on Outland Records in Amsterdam and many more followed. From the beginning Gregor was already interested in mixing Soul, Latin, Afro and Jazz influences in his own music.
After having made some solo underground records he started working with his buddy Danny van den Berg with whom he produced various club and trance hits under the names of Luna Mora, Danny and Graxx and The Beach house Brothers. Later Gregor started focussing more on finding his own sound, which appeared to be a little softer and less commercial then the things he had done before.
In the meanwhile Gregor had been living in Madrid , where he met his friend Dr. Kucho!, and shortly after they started producing together. Their first record came out on the Spanish label Weekend Records .
Back in Holland Gregor continued to produce his own sound as well as cooperating with others.
Due to the great diversity in Gregors music, his productions are being played worldwide by soulful djs like for example Roger Sanchez, Bob Sinclar, Harrison Crump, Full Intention and Hardsoul, as well as by deeper house djs like for example Timo Maas, Danny Tenaglia and Seb Fontaine.
In Holland Gregors records are being played by all major funky house djs. As a dj, Gregor plays a mix of groovy House music with a lot of Soul, Latin, Jazz, Disco and Afro grooves. Hes got a broad experience and is known for his funky sets, having played in Dutch clubs like for example:
Escape, Sinners, More, Paradiso, P ana ma, Winkel van Sinkel, Las Palmas, Now and Wow, Loveboat 2.0, Stalker, Bloomingdales, Xo, Praag, De Lichtfabriek, De Rechter, Pepsi Stage, as well as abroad in cities like Moscow, Milano and Madrid
Apart from producing and dj-ing Gregor runs his own record company G-REX Music with Nu-Groove artists like Camiel, Mindel, Rue Rapide, Omaya, Geni Pereira, Marty Belmondo and of course Gregor himself. G-REX specializes in Soul, Latin and Jazz influenced Nu-grooves, from Downtempo to funky House.
