Music is Poetry in Motion Reflecting LIFE!

About Me

Born in Jamaica Queens it was my destiny to succeed and show & prove. My parents migrated to this country from Haiti/Dominican Republic to create opportunities to benefit our family. Me being the last born and first born in NY I was spoiled by my sisters, brother and parents. I was always in love with music. I used to steal cassettes from my parents to record Mr. Magic and Marley Marl on the radio (Thats when it was just WBLS and KISSFM). I knew I was going to be a representative of hip hop before I knew my times tables. Later on in the early years of 7 or 8 I was taught that the black Man is God in the flesh. My older brother Born Justice ws responsible for the knowledge I gained from his teachings which were of the Five percent lessons, The 120! Manifesting my wisdom I lived my teenage years on the edge. A side of me wanted to act uncivilized but my soul would not let me. I was part of gangs that used to have neighborhoods shook which caused my negative side to come out more often than needed. Rapping kept me out of trouble sometimes because I was interested with writing verses since about 10 and my dad would encourage me. Music played a major role in my life. When I was in a crew called the LA Raiders (Laurelton Raiders), I must of been like 13, you had to be able to take a beating from like 10 dudes! (I was built for that!) My man Ron had a mini pre production lab in his room where I used to record music as a solo artist. I then took my sounds thru the neighborhood and thats when the music history of Spintek the artist began. To make a long story short, I was in another crew in my high school years called the Yung Gunz. We were a eastside connection to the Southside Lst Boyz! Together we would put things on smash and unfortunately terrorize neighborhoods. I got my respect for being able to spit and at the same time dance before it got all gay looking. I also had a lil group called the Numbskullz where I really learned the art of being in a studio and at the same time promoting and management. Mr Cheeks was a friend of mine and we used to freestyle together in Lincoln Park for hours. I was then introduced to Fredro and Sticky who took me on as one of their artist and family members. They saw my potential. I lived with them for a few years and got to watch them go from working at NuTribe barber shop to being platinum super stars. I remeber doing the Source Awards and seeing the audience run and get scared out their seats when Sticky Fingaz came out bussin the 357 on stage! I saw Kid from Kid N Play stumble and fall..LOL! Anyway later on I decided that I needed to move on with no love lost and start elsewhere because ONYX was too busy to work on artists and be artists at the same time. The experience was great though. You can even ask my man X-1 about those times and how they propelled our careers. X-1 is in my friends check out his success story. Antway I moved back to my moms house got wit my crew from around the way and Rosedale Queens and we formed QSR pronounced Quasar! What was good about that transition is that we were all on the same page of recognizing self as Allah or in simpler terms striving to be righteous. Our plan was too teach the uncivilized people thru our music without overeducating them. We knew from our own history that food for thought must be spoon fed and not shoved down your throat. We were probabaly the deepest fam on that side of Queens. At this point in time we were gaining respect from many industry heads, we were meeting people that most upcoming artist dream to meet. Eventually with the help of ONYX, Cipha Sounds and my ex manager Landlord J we got a deal on Universal and the world started to watch us grow.Remixes with Mary J, Lucy Pearl and Lenny Kravitz were all in rotation not to mention we held the number one spot for having the longest running promo on Hot 97's Funk Flex top 8at8 show. Cipha Sounds was our dj for the group and Enuff was our suppoert dj. That was backup to the firepower we were dishing out to the world. I remember people like Half-A-Mil and 50 Cent opening up for us. We have all this on video for proof! During the movement 3 members out our fam decided to move to Orlando and promote the QSR brand downsouth thus forming the QSR Cartel. So now you had QSR which was myself, Powerful Saykwan, and Ruler Divine in NYC and QSR Cartel which was BBQ, Master Prince, and True Being in Florida. We were now an undescribable force attacking from the North and South! Do the research and you will find our name in hip hop history. Due to differences in management and leadership the fam seperated and everyone went on their own journey, still a family although some of us have grown apart we strive to succeed. I now am known as Spintek the God 360. I've matured and grown wiser. I don't really consider myself an artist in the game because my reason for making music now is for enlightenment and not a source to get money from. The music I make will now reflect all I've seen and what I know. It should also be able to be heard by my 3 children without discretion. Nowadays I'm more focused with looking for talent and helping them get to where they want to be. I had a big influence on helping the ex-Aftermath artist Brooklyn developing her craft and getting ahead of her competition. Thanks to that project I was able to meet Dr. Dre and absorb the wisdom he had to share about the music business. I also produce for fun until I earn some real production credits then I might take that craft more seriously. Currently I am working as an Urban Music Media Manager getting artists and dj's some heavy exposure to labels, magazines, and show venues. Check out industrysoundbank.com. In my spare time I distribute shea butter and black soap throughout Central Florida, hit me up at [email protected]. Thats my little family business ran by my family. Today I am totally focused on elevating my people thru lost teachings so my struggle continues infinitely. I really wont say much more but you will see whats to come beacause showing is proving... PEACE!I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts!
