About Me

Namaste, Namastar...
Kanbanwa...
Surf's Up!!!!!
Somewhere....
I may not be good but I'm old and did I mention that I'm also annoyingly boring and have a short attention span?
Hobo, ex-CEO, all around ordinary 'Joe' with a splash of wanderlust soul.
Jack of all trades, master of none.
I'm the best of Herb Tarlack and Les Nessman, with a touch of Dr. Johney Fever on the side, all rolled into one....
Computers, Photography and the Oceans of the world are my passions in life. (Not necessarily in that order I might add)
I've spent the majority of my lifetime in the computer software and hardware industry where I worked for many years in the graphics animation and 3D solids modeling world. Most recently I've been working in the personal desktop and laptop computer end-user support world. Before you ask, NO - I won't fix your computer for you...
I was first licensed by the FCC as an amateur and commercial radio operator in 1959. For a long time I aspired to be a radio operator on a commercial ship but realized early on that my penchant for seasickness was far stronger then my love for the ocean.
I've tried to manage large groups of people and even larger groups of people have tried to manage me. Both experiments ended with an equal lack of success.
To make some use of my college degree I've spent a few years here and there teaching computer science classes at the community college level.
I'm totally in love with the oceans of this earth and the fantastic critters that live within them. I volunteer extensively at the Monterey Bay Aquarium doing everything from being an interpretive guide, maintaining the volunteer website, assisting in the education department and working during the summer months as a dive instructor.

Regarding my photography, please keep in mind that the basis for my work was my education at the "point, push and pray" school of digital media and hard knocks. My main theme when creating new visionary images is that it's better to be lucky then good. Should you like any of my work I will consider this concession on your part to be yet another verification of these philosophies and learnings.
Take a look

Most of all, enjoy (I hope).
For a much more extensive sample of what I do please visit my ever growing photography website located HERE
Mahalo for stopping by.
Aloha and peace...
