About Me

Borne out of desperation, the musical duo of R.O.K.B.O.T. (Rhythm, Orchestra, Keyboard, and Bass Operating Technology) and Genius Student is the brainchild of Christopher Willis. In his darkest moment after the demise of his former band, Tulsa, Oklahoma locals The Confectioners Guild, Chris was hit with a flash of inspiration. Why form another band when you can build one? Although an MIT dropout, Chris had an innate gift for robotics, and set out to create the ultimate collaborator; a musical machine capable of sonic feats no human could possibly duplicate. With his miraculous invention in tow, Chris began performing wherever he could, dazzling all who saw the spectacle of a man and his robot. As his former bandmates once again attempt a shot at the big time via their new outfit David the Noam Chomsky, fronted by Chris's childhood friend turned bitter rival Neil Donner, Chris is determined to taste success on his own, proving to himself and the recycled remains of The Confectioners Guild who the Genius was and who was merely along for the ride.

Starting over.

Well, it looks as if a 12 year friendship has come to a bitter end. Growing up, my friend Neil and I always talked about how great it would be to play in a band together and "make it big". We starte...
