About Me

"I eat music styles up like a woodchipper. From the young age of 12, I knew music and art were my passion". Ouigee started playing guitar at age 13 (inspired by hearing Jimi Hendrix). Ouigee is a self taught musician who received basic musical training. "I just couldn't quite get reading music down , but I could hear and feel the notes". Ouigee began perfoming in local bands in the Denver area. In the beggining he started his adventure in Punk/Death Metal/Grincore, playing with Pugilist, VomitGod, Evisceration, and Necropsy. "As I matured, I started performing classic rock with LSDelirium, (mostly Pink Floyd covertune band)". "I have always been inspired and influenced by that which I can feel. Ouigee's first juant in the world of rap/Hip Hop was in the 90's after writing his first rap song intentionally writin as a tool for revenge. "My friend Jeremiah had this keyboard with this rap beat on it. He had just recorded tracks with guitar over it. I was in such a rage I threw lyrics down on paper within a hour. That song was basic but had raw emotion and helped me to move on, with a sense of satisfaction. Everybody that knew the story behind the song inspired me to continue". Ouigee continued to experiment with beats, starting out on a Ensonic ASRX, eventually building his own studio. "I didn't want to deal with the politics of being in a band anymore". Since then Ouigee has been in local rap groups, producing music and performing small clubs and shows. "I have a new family in the rap game. You know the little white dude in Hustle and Flow and DJ,s engineer friend? Well I feel like I'm both those guys rolled up in one." Ouigee's first and current group Hails from the infamous east Colfax streets. " The group that would be known throughout Denver as C.H.U.D. (Criminal Hazardous Underground dwellaz). Manned by MC's with hustling on the brain as a means for virtual survival. " PJ was the fist one I met threw a friend of mine, we just clicked." PJ also known as "Pappa John" is a awsome MC with raw emotion and deep thought. " He's intimidating. The pieces started to fall together when the right people started coming to the studio. Red Rum is another MC, hard hitting with the talent of being able to sing. Hoopty is our last member, Hoopty is also a talented beatsmith and MC. "He has the best voice ever for the game". Ouigee networked and crossed paths with aonther talent from Hondurus (Wisli) who brought with him a new style of music called Reggeaton.
