Born out of a run down, former gas station and incubated in an old mental treatment center, Patient 29 is a band that takes grinding riffs, thick grooves, melodic undertones, and ambient interludes and mixes them to make powerful songs full of emotion and character. The guitar, bass, drums and vocals will often come together from different directions, meeting in the middle to form a multi-layered sonic landscape. And when the tension has been built to its breaking point it explodes with a tight fury that makes palms sweat and hearts pound. This is the type of thing that drives people to move.Based out of Portland, OR, Patient 29 is the type of band that dares to challenge itself. Its members, Christopher, Sam, Ron and Steve are each others best critics. Never settling for mediocre, they push each other to write and play the best possible. It is this determination that comes across in their music. Its a sense of purpose, desire that will itch at the back of your brain and push you to the edge. Just like it does to them. They are committed to providing the listener with a powerful listening experience, sharing their blood, sweat and tears, anything to make it a more personal listening experience.
