About Me

One of these days I'll finish my alternate web-spaces. Visit them, anyway. I dare you.
Aspir-Scribes Venting Field
The Danger Zone
I moderate things over at Brian Wood's online forum. The forum shares one webspace with other awesome forums for amazingly talented folks such as:

Jason Aaron
Brian Azzarello
Cliff Chiang
Jock
There you will find discussions of comics, other awesome things, and general tomfoolery. Other than that, in Bri's space it's my job to make sure you stay on topic and refrain from being a fuck-head.

About me, you say?
Nothing terribly complex from a distance.
+I write a lot.
+I read a lot of comics, and a lot of digital theory.
+I hang out in the country every chance I get.
+I obsess over fitness and healthy-food. Chances are you'll never want to eat a meal with me because I pick everything apart.
+I box. I run. I jump rope. I play sports. If I can walk or bike somewhere, I'd rather do that than drive.
+I would rather hang out with my neice Delilah than go out to a bar.
She's gonna rule the world, someday. Just look at that face.
+I love little kids and I think I'll make an excellent mom someday.
+I'm doing the grad school thing. The goal is my PhD in Rhetoric and Composition and then a lifetime of teaching at a University.
+I work in a warehouse with a bunch of guys - No drama. I should've made that move years ago as I am more comfortable with my job now than I have ever been. +I'm old school morality with a new school twist. +I'm proof that a heavily tattooed woman with some pretty outlandish ideas can still break the glass down.

I read comic books. A lot. No, really.
I'm a dork and I talk about comics all the time. Deal with it.
I am anti-fast food.

My Interests

I like to read, get tattooed, make fun of stupid people, laugh a whole lot, and be cute and girly but mean and intimidating at the same time.
I am incredibly passionate about digital literacy research. If you're hanging out with me, you can probably count on me pointing out some aspect of technological literacy in every-day life and explaining to you just why it's interesting and important.
I like to learn things - anything. Teach me something - anything. I'm a health nut - but I won't lecture you. Self-improvement is a big deal to me.
I like smart people - I like talking to them. If you're smart, you should probably talk to me, because I am awesome:
WalkingTheChasm on AIM
jadedrevolutionary on Yahoo!
You should then read these comics:

I'd like to meet:

People who think before they act.
People who aren't fucking lame.
People who aren't fucking weak.
People who aren't fucking stupid.
People who don't whine, bitch and complain about having to do hard work like everyone else.
Pioneers.
Inventors.
Free thinkers.
Innovators.
Intimidators.
Righteously angry individuals.
People who can talk about books.
People who love to fight, and fight to love.
The person who invented String Cheese.
Jon Stewart.
Who I would've loved to meet:
Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Bertrand Russell.
Glenn Miller.
Billie Holiday.
Elizabeth Bishop.
George Gershwin.
Victor Borge.
Rex Harrison.
Johnny Carson.
George Bernard Shaw.

Music:

You couldn't keep up.

Movies:

I enjoy going to the theater by myself and I own select few DVDs that I find enjoyable.

Television:

WWE (When they're not frustrating the shit out of me,)TNA wrestling, Scrubs, Crossing Jordan and anything on A&E, the History or Discovery channels.

Books:

I read all the time. My room is a veritable library. Comics are, however, numero uno as far as readings go.

Tattoos, thoughts, books and mind-travels; content to be alone with my life and my battles
