The arts: music, dance, art, literature, theater. Sewing, knitting, obscure and archaic needlework (like torchon lace and pulled-thread linen openwork), wigs, corsets, tea, fairy tales, camping, hiking, cactus gardens, The Oriental Trading Company catalogue, slow food, more to come.
More wonderful friends...people who love theater, art, and music...people I have lost contact with...people who don't feel the need to martyr themselves and others.

I love movies that combine reality with fantasy: The Princess Bride, The Laybrinth, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Mirrormask, The Science of Sleep, and most recently, Pan's Labyrinth (the best movie I saw in 2006), also I like movies about weird people and weird events: Fight Club, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, SLC Punk, then I also like movies that are just beautiful: Jane Eyre (Zefirelli's version- the cinematography makes up for what the script is lacking...), Then some movies just KICK ASS: Grindhouse, Black Mask, 300, True Romance. Anything with Gael Garcia Bernal. He's beautiful. The works of Hayao Miyazaki. His animation is beautiful and the stories are heartbreaking and wonderful.
I no longer have cable...but I like Cartoon Network, TLC, and Food Network.
