Ones "interests" column is always so cheezy. Everything one does whether it is for a living or for personal time is an "interest". But for the sake of this heading, I will list BAKING, PHOTOGRAPHY, WEBSITE DESIGN, and COLORGUARD as my interests.
I've already met and live with the great love of my life. His name is Roger and we've been together since the summer of 1997. Together, we live in the house where I grew up. Slowly, we are updating and remodeling this house as we have time and ca$h. We have two little Rat Terriers named Bubba and Cooter and we are still trying to remember what we did with ourselves and our time before they were in our life.
With my family very much in place, I guess the next people I would like to meet are:
Donna Summer -- I want her to know how much of a personal influence her work has been in my life and also to let her know that I did NOT boycott her music in the late 1980s.
Nelson Mandela -- because I would like to be in the presence of such greatness.
Bill Clinton -- I want him to know that I hold him up as one of the greatest leaders of our nation's history. So what if he got his dick sucked. He was the President. He was ENTITLED to get his dick sucked. (Thank you Mo'Nique for putting that into words for us all.)
DISCO IS NOT DEAD!!
If you were to label me by my movies, the label would contain the words "pre-1955, black&white, and classic". But with that being said, my favorite movie is a Technicolor classic (Gone With The Wind), and my 3rd favorite movie is from after 1955 (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang). But for those of you who are into lists, here is my Top Ten.
1. Gone With The Wind (Fiddledeedee!)
2. Song of the South (a great lesson in loyalty and friendship)
3. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Dick Van Dyke at his all-time best!)
4. Cesar & Cleopatra (Vivien Leigh & Claude Rains)
5. Citizen Kane (suffered through that damn thing for 2 hours to find out that Rosebud was a SLED!!)
6. The Body Snatchers (Carolyn Jones is SO AWESOME)
7. The Women (I've had two years to grow claws, Mother. Jungle Red!!)
8. Wizard of Oz (you GO Judy!)
9. Cabaret (Screw Fritz! I do! So do I!)
10. Fantasia (probably the best and only Technicolor representation of a heroin addict's point of view.)
Here again, the label would be remarkably different from the actual...
1. All In The Family
2. Sanford & Son
3. Maude
4. Julia
5. Pee-Wee's Playhouse
6. Will & Grace
7. Love Sidney
8. Dark Shadows
9. Bewitched
10. Hogan's Heroes
1. Gone With The Wind
2. Fancy Dancer
3. And The Band Played On
4. The Men With The Pink Triangle
5. Mr. Bridge
6. Mrs. Bridge
7. The Boxcar Children
8. Ordinary Girl
9. Scarlett
10. Memo
Outside of Roger, Bubba & Cooter... definitely Donna Summer and Nelson Mandela. Martin Luther King Jr (we share the same birthday), Rosa Parks, Harvey Milk, Mike D'Agostine, David Bolich, Sammie du Pont, Carl du Pont, and Christina Cash. Not familiar with some of these names? Ask!
