Profile GeneratorLinda Love aka Mz.Hoffa "The BossLady" is no amateur when it comes to the
world of radio and hip-hop. Born and raised in Heavy-D's hometown nostalgically known as "money-earnin' Mt. Vernon" Linda Love had her ear tuned into New York City radio very early on. She embraced the earlier day of the hip hop culture and was in constant pursuit of music, art and multicultural studies. Linda's upbringing was a melting pot of talent, always influenced by music. She began playing the violin at age 8 where she later became a member of the All City Orchestra. Involved in the school chorus and singing since elementary school, she later became a member of the All City Chorus as well. She distinctly remembers that era as a highlight in her life, hearing the major disc jockeys of the time coming through loud and clear over her bedroom radio and imagining as a young girl, "I wonder if I could do that?"
Always excelling in academics, Linda graduated at the top of her high school class as a member of the National Honor Society, and later received her education from Siena College in Loudonville, NY. There she joined the Black and Latino Student Union where she strived to make positive changes amongst the small minority community on campus, volunteering for organizations like Big Sisters. It was as a freshmen in college where Linda became part of the most recognized hip hop station in the capital region at the time, 88.3 WVCR FM.
Since there was no commercial hip hop station in existence, the Siena College owned and operated, non-commercial 88.3 WVCR FM was a huge impact on the community. There Linda learned her skills as a radio personality, broadcaster and promoter from 1991-2001. She became known as the "Quiet Storm" diva to her listeners, hosting slow jam shows, as well as hip hop shows, mixshows, and even a contemporary jazz show. In 1998 WAJZ JAMZ 96.3, Albany Broadcasting Company owned, came onto the scene as Albany New Yorks first commercial hip hop and R&B station. Linda joined the team in 2001 as the station's Morning Show Producer for the Tom Joyner Morning Show as well as an on-air personality on the weekends. She also hosted her own slow jam show on Sundays, "Between the Sheets". Linda Love is also the Saturday night mixshow ('Big Bizness") Producer and co-host with DJ Biz, "the Upstate Great".Linda Love is currently the Midday Mami on JAMZ 96.3 as she sends her love across the airwaves from 10 am- 3 pm, hosting the Old School Lunch Hour. Lindas most recent achievement came in 2005 when she got inducted into the female movement known amongst music industry elites as The MurdaMamis, hence the name Midday Mami. She is now among the most successful women in music, radio and mixtapes.
