PHORT KNOXCreative, Lyrical, Enthusiastic, Multi-talented and most of all “Ready to take Dancehall by the throatâ€, Omar Ormsby, aka PHORT KNOX, is the next big name in Dancehall Music; and he is both Solid and Current–in his many musical deliveries.Born on April 3rd 1983 this son of the soil and native of Newland District in Portmore- St Catherine, started to demonstrate his love for Music from age 6, by regularly listening to Artiste like Baby Wayne, Grindsman, Anthony B and Major Lee-all natives of his Community. He’s a very good POET, from his days in primary school, but did not realize how much of a good songwriter-he could become.
Then as fate would have it, Omar Ormsby aka PHORT KNOX, migrated to the United States-at age 15. His newfound lifestyle and environment, meant that he had to reshuffle and in some way-restart his life, in another country. In addition, he had to face the challenge of a brand new society. But after residing for some 3 years in America, he suddenly started to discover his exceptional musical talent. At the young age of 18 with the much needed and profound support of his parents, he put purposeful dedication and focus, moving forward-with immense precision.From NEW YORK to the CARIBBEAN, PHORT KNOX, have gradually been creating a large fan Base, wherever he goes. Presently under management by GRC entertainment, in Bronx NEW YORK, production is well underway, for an array of songs to be released-very soon.Apart from his stellar musical deliveries, PHORT KNOX is an excellent Songwriter. His Songs give clarity and meaning-when he addresses any topic, and his Club-bangers and combinations are Hot and current.
