Wolf's Hunger

Wolf's Hunger as an idea has existed since 2001.Our goal was to create a project which would vary from the whole extreme metal scene, to create a form of patriotic black metal, with lyrics about Serbian mythology andhistory.The first name of the project was Altair's Stone -that was supposed to be an ambient/home-made form of black metal, since there was no drummer involved. In the year of 2002 a decision was made by the members of the band which were Dushan, Chaslav and Veljko: to find a drummer and to start to create a different, more thrashy music.That drummer was Djuka, but something was still missing: the second guitar, then Dovla joined the band, (and Dushan left the band, but all of his lyrics are still in use, with his permission) which has changed its name to Wolf's Hunger . Wolf's Hunger has never had any kind of so called Nazi lyrics, we only wrote about the truth and about all the evil that has happened to our people over the years. Lots of people atfirst started to label WH as fascists,Nazis,but we never really cared.In august 2003 the first material was recorded Thunders of Perun Are Back (DEMO) which is actually a live recording (only the vocals were done separately). In spite of the very raw sound which it possessed, it got very positive reactions and reviews, even though the band itself was not very satisfied with it. There were a few gigs with domestic bands such as Interfector (fucking great band from the Republic of Srpska, which has always supported WH in every possible way: SLAVA BROTHERS!!!) All My Sins, Defilement, Posmrtna Liturgija...In the year of 2004 Djuka decided to leave the band, but after a few months WH has found a new drummer. In august 2005 new material has been recorded My Land in Flames (Zemlja moja u plamenu je).That is also a live recording with vocals additionally added, hence the raw sound. My Land in Flames is supposed to be released by GROM records as a split album with Posmrtna Liturgija Od Zla Oca I Josh Gore Majke in February 2006. The band is planning to hit the studio (and for the first time record professionally) and to record some new songs by the summer of 2006. We would like to thank the people who have supported us over the years, we will never forget you, and we would like to say something to the people who have been bringing us down over the years: we will never stop telling the truth in our songs, no matter what you call us!
