The pricing is based on $30.00 an hour, although i prefer to discuss the project with you to get an idea of how many hours will be spent on the recording and give a price for the entire project. This seems to work out better for both parties and takes the pressure off watching the clock. So please contact me to work out a deal.
MISSION STATEMENT
It is First Street Studio's desire to offer professional recordings at a rate that independents can afford. Before opening the studio, I owned a label called Eleven Eleven Records. The main reason that the label went under was the financial strain of releasing each title. It's difficult to profit when so many things have to go into the release of each record. The biggest cost that I ran into was the recording cost, which was generally more than half of the total amount spent on each title. My desire now is to offer a place to ease the frustration that I'm sure most independent labels and bands feel. The rate that First Street Studio charges will most likely cut your recording costs in half, making it possible to recoup cost hundreds of cds sooner. Of course this works out well for labels, bands on labels, and independent artists releasing records on their own. Lodging is included in the price of recording, which is huge for any band. It saves you from spending on hotel rooms and makes the recording process feel more special, being able to stay at the same place you are recording. Affordable rate, good working environment, and most important, a recording you will be happy with.
