About Me

OUT NOVEMBER 29th:
Upperground Orchestra: Solaris Eremit (Morphine Records - it)
A fusion between the eclectism of modern jazz and electronic music, this is what it's all about. Performances cross historical Jazz sound, elementary electronics, and free improvisations, in order to create a contemporary arrangement and an Avantgarde feeling. Sounds and ambientations reproduce the acoustic and electrical styles of the schools of Chicago and Detroit, from the Jazz of 50s until the original Techno: an imaginary meeting between Sun Ra and Kraftwerk, John Coltrane and Carl Craig. The band was founded in 2002, as a solution to cover a gig in Zona Bandita with Minimax Jazz Ensemble and Morphosis' DJ Set. after many shows in Venetian area they started to record some sessions in studio to discover what it could come out from this fusion, the sound is still in constant change and evolution...
