I like books, although six years of university has almost succeeded in killing my enthusiasm for the written word. I try to treat myself with pleasurable reading occasionally when I have the time.... Then I read things like: Dracula, The Ultimate Rush, The Divine Comedy (love my Dante), Baudolino, The Name of the Rose, The Historian and anything twisted, decadent and perverse... I like a bit of Psellos, and Anna Komnena is good for a laugh. Dimitri Obolensky's arguments are seductive.
