I am here for Friends

About Me

Am I too honest...? Maybe. Am I too lazy...? Sometimes. But I ask you, are we in this life to pretend? I think a life lived true to oneself is the only one worth living. I am amazed by the ability of people to sleepwalk through their lives. I live for music and good conversation. I think that love is all you really need (a beer helps too). I think the time has come for us all to be more responsible for eachother. (Who the f**k are YOU again?). I just saw on CNN that when offered free cookies three out of four people took the cookie. So I ask you... where are all the free cookies? I love writing songs and composing music. I am very grateful to make my living as a model. I love fashion and it is really a much friendlier place then people expect... sometimes (that was last week). I treasure my friends and they are the emulsifier of life. I am still trying to figure out how to enjoy the nightlife in LA...as anyone that has spent any time in NY or Miami (hell, anywhere) knows, it is a little lacking. I adore the beach and am thinking about moving out there in the spring. I really enjoy good art, especially abstract (check out Paul Klee). My family is very important to me and I hold my hometown in my heart. I am amazed at how my life gets better almost everyday and how there is a little surprise around every corner.

My Interests

The Perpetual Pursuit of Maintaining Happiness (my personal speciality)... Music, Fashion, Abstract Art, People that don't fit in, and random acts of kindness and heroism. Summer days on the east coast, sitting with the windows up and the fan on, while sipping a glass of lemonade, and reading a good novel... The wisdom, authenticity, and sweetness of elderly people. The never ending hope of the ocean. Mojitos, dirty martinis, anything MOD, dadaism, existentialist philosophy, human biology, dreams, dancing, cooking and baking, reading, scented candles (did I just say that?), personal style, good manners (go get yours today!)

I'd like to meet:

To quote Jack Kerouac: "They are hip without being slick, they are intelligent without being corny, they are intellectual as hell and know all about Pound without being pretentious or talking too much about it, and when they are very quiet, they are very Christlike." People who refuse to kiss ass, people with artistic integrity, people who are honest with their word, people who keep that word, geniuses, people who don't care what other people think of them, good photographers, good musicians, good writers, authentic artists, old friends, other "Loes", people who know how to have fun, people who really, I mean really, care about their friends
