Spex grew up in the heart of Chicago's very own Cabrini Green Holmes. Face with violence and negative energy throughout his commuinity, Spex utilizes the experience to create a vocal picture. Writing poetry since the age of 10, playing the trumpet at 12, and now producing Hip-Hop and R&B music for himself and other local Chicago artist. Spex is ready to do it all with no major record deal. At the age of 24, this multitalented individual performed throughout many clubs, colleges, talent shows etc. The Chicago Tribune named him Cabrini Greens poster boy. His passion for music is reflected through Hip-Hop using a unique approach to capture the true essence of story telling.
