Biography
November 2005. On a cold winter day Benjamin logs on to the internet in order to kill some time. After he had left the band he previously played in he needs to find others to join and form a new group, consisting of people addicted to danger and cheap imperfectness. On the internet he finds an ad of a guy called Toby who is also looking for musicians. Toby had also recently left his former band, now urging for some new, mind blurring musical experience. The two contact each other and make an appointment. They meet in a dingy bar to talk the conditions out, already joined by Daniel, a potential bass player. After some gossip and nervous chattering, the three agree to meet one more time in a rehearsal room. There they would be able to check out the others´skills and find out if their dreams of becoming famous and filthy rich would be shattered or fullfilled. When meeting in a garage-like bulding in order to torture their instruments simultaniously they are joined by the future lead guitar player and singer Max. They play some songs. They make noise. They howl and cough, scream and shout. The band is born.
After having some trouble finding a name that would fit (proposals like Henri Toulouse or Teacher´s Pet didn´t do the trick) the band chooses the name DETENTION CLASS. Having written some own songs and chosen some other songs to cover, DETENTION CLASS play their first gig on May, 05th. 2006 in their new rehearsal room.
