About Me

BIO

2005 for Scott Alert shaped up to be a busy year, mixing 2 Dvd's (Melbourne Shufflerz and Advent*jah Festival) & 2 kandy compilations (Episodes 4 & 5), way to go. As well as touring through Malaysia and also performing in China on New Years Eve. To cap things off Scott was invited to tour with the Hard Nrg 7 Cd, through Ministry of Sound at the start of the year. Locally Scott has played main stage at every major Dance event in Melbourne including Two Tribes, Pharmacy, Adventure, Slinky and was the only hard dance artist to play at Earthcore main stage, supporting LAB4 in front of 5,000 people. To keep the pace going, Scott has been busy in the studio, completing productions with Dr. Willis, J K Walker & K-Complex releasing 2 tracks 'Go away' & 'Take a Ride' featured on the kandy compilations. International artists such as Gaz West, Scot project, Alex Kidd & Kevin Energy alike are burning dance floors throughout Europe, promoting locally signed productions and receiving high praises. Hard Kandy Episode 5 includes tracks by artists Scott has worked closely with, comprising of material exclusive to the compilation.

2006 sees Scott launching a stronghold of new tracks and creating no boundaries with the release of Generationext. This year hard kandy recordings kicks off with 12" releases with remixes from the likes of Dark by Design, Alex Kidd, J K Walker, Organ Donors, K-Complex. Exciting times lay ahead as Australian hard dance music finally reaches international recognition.
Mixed By Tydi / Scott Alert & Dr Willis

Musical purism and close-minded genre wars have run their course the next generation in music compilations has arrived! Forget everything you know or have presumed about mix compilations, this one is different. Generationext are all about taking the usual principles and traditions of club nights and releases and turning them on their head. Genre purism is long forgotten and cutting-edge genre orgies are the order of the day.

As a concept, Generationext was born in Cairns a city perfectly positioned to get the cream of the worlds dance crop visiting them on regular occasions, yet distanced enough not to be dictated to by big city club politics. In Cairns, a city dominated by transient travellers and fun-loving party personalities, musical influences are varied and constantly evolving. Unlike the major cities, the dance scene isnt splintered and, in the case of Generationext, events tend to take on the form of mini festivals, with a mish-mash of sounds shaking the foundations throughout the night. Attend one of the crews parties and youll find everything from breaks, to house, electro, techno, trance and hard dance all in one night and all under one roof! Everyone from Amber Savage, Phil K, Tall Paul, to NuBreed, the Organ Donors, Sharif Galal, Poxymusic and Bexta and have dished up their unique slant on dance music, with the parties being so successful the crew decided to take it to the next level. And so the Generationext CD series was born.
