About Me

Born Wolverhampton, West Mids, UK. Typical upbringing with a heavy influence from parents background's and culture. Went throught all the usual shit any lad does growing up. The early teens were a big change, seeing and learning things that weren't anything to do with school and supposed learning. I rejected the life that I was supposed to have followed and after a negative experience with the law, I was drawn to new and alternative adventures. Around 1990, 1991 alternative rock (some call it grunge)electronic music (some call it dance)and British indie (I agree)was making its mark. This whole new youth culture was fascinating, it certainly had an effect on me as this period and everything that has followed since has been a trip to say the least. Ever since my first concert in 1990 - the years since have been spent meeting some of the best and worst people ever, discovering and hearing some of my favourite music at various festivals, concerts and parties all over the world. Oh and meeting my beautiful wife who has I have shared my life with since 1995! I have also been DJing since then, which has contributed immensley to the life I have enjoyed (and still does!). Never one to stop having a good time, our own parties started up with various soundsystems in smaller clubs, fields and warehouses in the Midlands and a few elsewhere in England. I then set up Fissionsound as a platform for our nights/events and the record label. This continued for a few years until mortgages, proper bills, weddings and full time work got in the way and time has decided to fly past us in the meantime! Now I am quite settled, life is spent by (unfortunately) working - part time, making music and of course going to concerts and parties.I still DJ and Fissionsound nights will be appearing again soon, as well as new releases from myself as I have finally got my arse in gear trying to knock up some aural pleasures! Any forthcoming gigs will be placed on this site as and when. I am currently working on my own material and I hope to have an EP finished this summer/autumn. "Live" dates will follow.....Punk rules. Rave safe.
