†NO REDEMPTION â€
†This is the band I play bass for, please, click the banner below and check us out! â€
†I have to say that music is my number 1 passion in life, nothing beats it for me.
I know when a song is good, well, great - in fact, scratch that, LEGENDARY, because it'll make my feelings just run free...the world around me will dissolve and it'll just be me and the music...sometimes I cry, sometimes I laugh, sometimes I get really angry and full of energy and ready to take on the world, sometimes I go so quiet and happy an content, and sometimes I just fall in love...
But no matter what, I'll feel free, and these emotions will show, without fail, and I won't care who sees! It's the music that does this to me, and it opens me up, makes me fearless, and I believe that this is the key to sorting out all the problems the human race has to deal with.
I know there are bands who sing anti-government songs and try to get people to follow them, but no-one will unless they truly feel ready to release all their emotions without a care for who is watching, and that is my aim. If the world is going to be changed, then people need to feel first, and if music does it, then that's perfect, it's the sweet bonus for being obsessed with it! I don't want to be worshiped or praised like a god for what I do, I just want people to be free within themselves and free in society and then the world, and I believe that when people are free...and we can express our thoughts in a civilized and fearless way, the world will be a better place.
Call me a dreamer, or a fool, or arrogant, but I don't care, all I know is that I bet you can't sit there and say that there isn't a song out there that hasn't touched you in some way, and if there really genuinely isn't...then either you're young and not started exploring music yet, and I don't hold that against you...or you haven't lived...either way, try these for powerful songs, and I'll admit it...they made me cry. â€
†JOHNNY CASH - HURT (Nine Inch Nails Cover, but as Trent said, he may have wrote it, but Johnny made it his own)â€
†THE BANGLES - ETERNAL FLAME (Later ruined by atomic kitten, this is the origional) â€
†NIGHTWISH - SLEEPING SUN (The old version, there is the 2005 version as well...they are both amazing, but I prefer this one) â€
†IRON MAIDEN - JOURNEYMAN (Unofficial video...tell me this song isn't beautiful...Iron Maiden's only acoustic track) â€
†VNV NATION - ILLUSION (Such a beautiful song, dedicated to Sophie Lancaster R.I.P.) â€
So...Instead of listing all the bands I like, I'll just put my favorites from my three favorite genres. There will be debate...I know one person in particular will kill me for saying that (in my opinion) Opeth are goth...but he'll have to put up with that, won't he? These are my favourites as I interpret them into genres...
My 3 (maybe 4, I put Goth and Doom in the same thing) favourite genres are (in order)...Goth/Doom, Industrial (Metal/EBM/Neue Deutsch Harte/all varieties) and Black Metal.
