Rest Upon The Aeons

About Me

Rest Upon The Aeons is the 3rd and final solo project of the eclectic and diverse Judah "Lurch" Carvasso. This strictly acoustic project looks inwards, at the self and life and philosophy, exploring our emotions, digging out the things that make us hurt, make us happy, make us angry and make us dream, and painting them in grand picture for all to see.
Not being an actual fan of popular acoustic music as it is anyway, these songs will sound different to anything else you have you heard from this genre, taking the fearless emotion of Gothic music, the pace and atmosphere of Doom, and an acoustic guitar, this is Doom in it's acoustic form, with Gothic, Alternative, Prog and many other genres all mixed in to form a sensation you have never heard before, and that will ring in your head for weeks to come.
The first album is under construction!
Title: "Waking Dreams"
Predicted tracklist:
Nightwater (Instrumental)
Guardian
It'll Never Be Okay (Shades Of Green)
Remnants
Legendary
Running For The Water (Instrumental)
This Is Not Home
Rest Upon The Aeons
Killing Time
Dirge
Hallow Thy Sin
Ecstasy Dream
Notes: This is not final, and "Legendary" and "Guardian" are still under lyrical construction. Other songs that are under construction are "Faith In The skies" and "Eden And Sapphire". "Ecstasy Dream" is the only song with lyrics not written by me, but instead written 2 years ago by a friend called Tara whom I have never met in person, all lyrics otherwise written by me. "Ecstasy Dream" is not placed at the end because of being written by another person, it's at the end because, in my opinion, it's a killer closing track, and you won't forget it. All music written by me. The music consists of my voice and my acoustic guitar only, with the exception of "Nightwater" (using a keyboard and a snyth to recreate strings sections, pianos and ambience) and "Faith In The Skies" (Using Synths and Keyboards to recreate a piano). Final versions of the songs may also include synthesized AND VERY REALISTIC SOUNDING string sections, choirs, pianos etc. Female vocals featured on "Remnants" yet to be decided, so far candidates are: My Stepmother Tracy and my close friend Eve. If you are interested, let me know, I may need people for backing vocals. Acoustic bassists and guitarists will be saught after soon, as will pianist and keyboard players and a drummer.
This is a list of covers I have been known to play at acoustic nights in the past:
Iron Maiden - Out Of The Silent Planet
Johnny Cash/NIN - Hurt
Otep - Perfectly Flawed
This is a list of covers I may be performing soon:
Angelzoom - Fairyland
Angelzoom - Turn The Sky
Iron Maiden - The Thin Line Between Love And Hate
The Cranberries - Zombie

Sounds Like: Doom on an acoustic guitar. The chords are weird, the rhythms make you scratch your head, and the lyrics have made people cry. Think Opeth's acoustic work. Think My Dying Bride unplugged. Now add a deep voice.
