About Me

1999-2001 - staircase starts out as a four piece rock band in one of the smallest cities in one of the smallest countries in the world - the main power resources in those early days are the love for music, friendship, the excitement about creating songs, recording them and the adrenaline of the live performances - they keep staircase going and going and going - somewhere in the middle of.. - 2002 - staircase is forced to switch from a four piece band to the three piece band it still is today - a setback in a way - but an extremely efficient push at the same time - the remaining members of staircase stick together and fight -more than ever- for what they believe in - the determination of the band grows rapidly - 2003 - staircase signs its first record deal - 2004 - the first single ’flashback’ is released - 2005 - staircase releases it’s debut album: ’superorganism’ - an album title that expresses the bands coherency ("we have created an organism built for music - something autonomous - we have build this superorganism we like to call staircase") - ’superorganism’ contains material written and rewritten during the first 6 years of staircases existence - 2008 (today) - the band bursts of energy - a total autonomy in creating their music and the freedom to present it to the audience the way the band wants it is the package deal that miraculously heals the many scars staircase has gathered by now - what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.. - as we speak ’the superorganism’ is more alive then ever - the three of them blended into one - the hottest summer they have ever lived was the framework for the start of another staircase era - everybody connected to the superorganism is very much looking forward to the countdown - new songs - the same hearts - looking for a way to get to you - soon!
