About Me

'The Red Orchestra' is the latest collaboration between local artists and long time friends; Ian Sky and Cody S. Heichel. After playing in various local rock bands together for many years, the duo decided to try their hands at a new musical direction. A departure from Cody and Ian's hard rock roots, The Red Orchestra builds on the influence of artists such as Björk, Depeche Mode, Imogen Heap, Frou Frou, David Bowie and David Gray. The Red Orchestra is currently preparing for their live debut in the Cleveland, Ohio area sometime in early fall of 2007.

Sounds Like: Bjork sat down with Depche Mode and said, "How do we make some kind of Frou Frou / David Bowie sorta tunes?" To which Depeche Mode replied, "I dunno, but I wanna throw in a bit of a David Gray vibe and maybe mix in some A Perfect Circle from time to time." At that moment, Salvador Dali burst into the room and exclaimed, "I AM EXCELLENT!" Then all three of them had lunch while The Red Orchestra tried to rip off their idea...ish
