August 1974,New York city, A new music genre was born when four guys from Forrest hills who called themselves the RAMONES played in a club called CBGB, Their set was loud and fast (the only thing that separating their song was the bass player shouting 1-2-3-4 during the milliseconds break of their songs) critics brand that style of music as PUNKS, which later on became a household name thanks to commercial success of UK's SEX PISTOL, CLASH and of course THE RAMONES.
August 2002,twenty eight years later, three guys from Bulacan was so bored on the rock scene in their area, Everybody sound the same, a "pango" version of limp bizkit, rage against the machine"im so pissed off mothafuck@ type of music. They missed the song that was simple and not that progressive,the Music genre they grow up listening too and other abandoned to ride the nu metal trend and be hype as their peer who had originally cd linkin park during that days (hehehehehE). So they decided to form a band for themselves so they could play song they missed, short and fast yet more angst than Fred Durst whinning about his Nookie.
Originally called themselves DIMWITS, Aaron (vocals, guitars) Avin (bass) and Jae ann (drums) change their name to SHOPLIFTERS when they saw in a skateboard magazine that an American band had already named their band "Dimwits". During their formative years they try to cover song by Sex pistols, Ramones but they couldn't figure them out so they decided to write their own stuff. They never played live that much, coz nobody want to invite them and they don't want to sell tickets. they played their first live gig two years after they were formed and shocked almost everybody coz they played fast, they finished their set least than ten minutes. (That includes the soundcheck).
Rightnow, The Shoplifters members is busy doing something good in their life. They currently not active playing. Jae Ann work as a call center agent. While the Manzano's is still in the scene with their other band called MANICA. Even though they're not that active they still hang around and practices when they find time.
