About Me

Formed from the ashes of numerous other unrelated musical projects, Fimfarum, graciously borrowing its moniker from the fairytale of the same name, was formed in December of 2005 in College Park, Maryland.Comprised of four young men gathered from the far reaches of the earth, Fimfarum has been writing songs at breakneck speed in frantic preparation for whatever the future may hold for them in the way of shows and recording projects. So be assured that they will be ready for battle everytime the rock and roll lion rears it head.Songwriting for the group is largely collaborative with all members bringing their particular styles and influences to the mix resulting in a unique sound that displays a consciousness and desire to stand out from the leagues of their contemporaries.With that said, Tom, Dan, Ed and Taylor appreciate your support and encouragement in this endeavor.

Ed: Sonic Youth, Janes Addiction, Sigur Ros, Mono, and You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead, Fugazi, Bad Brains, Nirvana, Explosions in the Sky, Radiohead, At the Drive-In, Hot Water Music, Bob Dylan, Aesop Rock .

Taylor: Drumming influences? Damon Atkinson, Mike Kinsella, Will Goodyear and George Robelo. They make me sick, in the good way though.
