Black Angel started around 1988 by Hector Corpus. The scene in Lima at that time was pretty much progressed and many other bands came out of the wood work. Black Angel having that raw adrenaline to burst into the metal scene at that time came out with several demos on record labels in/outside of Peru. The rigid, venomous, sound of black angel echoed through the underground society of metal fans in the country or south america in general. Black Angel's music is basically influenced by old bands of metal of southamerica from Hadez, Sarcofago, Vulcano, Mutilator, Holocausto, to international bands like Black Sabbath, Mayhem, Bathory, Hellhammer, Motorhead, Venom...etc.The Peruvian metal scene is not what it used to be. Durring the 80s, Peru was going through it's own chaos with the terrorist sect ''Sendero Luminoso" beginning to blow up cars and political compounds all around the city of Lima, and for the outer provinces outside of the capital, the situation only got worse for the indiginous majority, blood began to spill in the hands of a bunch of Maoist commie pricks. the smell of gasoline on fire from the blown up cars only made more room for a bunch of chaotic, pissed off metal misfits. Peru is a very contraversial country in the sense of politics, and through the time line there hasn't been one honest figure in our government. And on the other hand, in the 2000s, it goes the same with the metal scene. The majority of the people involved in the scene is infested with lowlife, dishonest, bushwhacking, backstabbing, two faced twirps who only care about getting drunk or doped up, the kinds of people you see passed out on a filthy, bacteria ridden bathroom floor engulfed in their own urine and beer vomit. Black Angel has been slowly drawn away from it, and continues to play music from 1988 without pause or interruptions. Black Angel will be doing a final tour through Brazil at the very end of July of 2006, but the Chaos will always stay and Black Angel's music will still linger around distros and real metal fans all around SA.
