About Me

Russ works for the nations leading manufacturer of environmentally friendly lighting solutions for retail and commercial businesses. His efforts focus on national project management, B2B marketing, and building relationships with architectural firms, design firms, and lighting distributors to provide customized lighting solutions that allows large companies to meet national energy regulations.After college Russ began a career in politics. He worked at the New York State Senate as an advisor and in 1999 became one of the youngest candidates in The United States to run for public office when he challenged the incumbent mayor of New Paltz, NY. After loosing the election by a 3:2 vote margin, Russ ventured out into the corporate world working as a marketing and public relations manager. Years later he began his career in the lighting industry when he was hired as director of marketing and client relations for a leading national lighting distributor.Russ gained recognition in the lighting industry by successfully cultivating national retail accounts and developing representative networks. He earned three nationally recognized industry awards from the Institute of Store Planners (ISP), Philips Lighting, and Architectural Lighting magazine. He also worked closely with the ISP to promote its key role in the retail store design industry.Russ gets his greatest professional satisfaction from bringing people together to deliver innovative client solutions. His client group has included some of the nation's top retailers and design firms.Russ received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York graduating magna cum laude with a major in history and minor in political science and communication.When not working Russ spends time with his family and wife, Phyllis. He can also be found at the gym where he trains in mixed martial arts styles including boxing, Tae Kwon Do, Karate, and Ju Jitsu. Russ holds a black belt, won the bronze medal at the 2006 NYS karate championships and has won over a dozen medals and awards for his achievements in martial arts competitions. Currently he is ranked 8th nationally as an amateur and has qualified for the 2007 American Martial Arts Alliance national karate tournament.I get my MySpace Layouts from MrDoe.com !

My Interests

Martial arts, weight lifting, plays guitar, active in politics, I like to shoot guns, play with swords and break wood and concrete with my hands and feet. I am also a world traveler. My wife and I have been to 12 European cities, 10 Caribbean islands, Mexico, and most major American cities. I am also a Freemason.
