Bojaxin, Moron, Masia, WordLife & J-20z together; form the most elite team of artist in Hip-Hop history “The GunShow.” Meaning; “Heat on Display” or briefly what they call “H.o.D.” Just like a real showcase of weaponry, these young men would embody what it means to display the heated challenges, issues, thoughts, concerns, struggles & hustles that day to day life in a commonwealth state forces them to face.In 2006, 3 years after their creation and with 7 to10 years of friendship under their belts, the group boldly states since their emergence on the scene, “Hip-Hop is slowly but surely undertaking plastic surgery”, as they try day in and day out to change the “Face” of history. Upon completing their underground debut Mixtape, creatively & coincidentally titled “Heat on Display Vol. 1: Self Defense.” GunShow has set a standard in unifying Virginia as artists, as well as maintaining & strengthening their own global movement. Shutting down numerous venues with their “mixed” entourage, “The Show” intends to destroy all stereotypes about the multi-cultured influence they bring on Hip-Hop.With their upcoming mixtape entitled “Heat on Display Vol. 2 64 East Norfolk 2 Da Beach”, GunShow wants to display that “heat” they so often speak of which is unheard of by mainstream America. With strategically chosen events they displayed this “HEAT” in the latter part of 2006. Using this GunShow has firmly cemented themselves in Virginia’s Hip-Hop underground. Some of these events included, The NFC sponsored “Hood Holiday Block Party”, the 4th annual “Joe Smith Hoodstock”, ABU Unity Fest in Bad Newz VA” as well as “The Unsigned Talented Showcase at Crabbers in Hampton VA. Also with appearances on Bang Mind Records’, Mixtape entitled “*******”, also popping up on the Va Classic Mixtape Vol. 1 from Sluggfest Entertainment, and including special appearances on the “757 underground; rep yo set” DVD, as well as their own DVD called “Worldwyde Ryders.” while still finding time to show up on the nationally acclaimed DVD “B.L.O.W” (Baltimore Life On Wax detour VA edition). “The Show” will also be featured on the upcoming Hood Platinum 4 Mixtape. Past performances included “Blakely’s” nightclub, The “Virginia House of Comedy”, The “Source Magazine” unsigned hype show, “Club 2 o’clock” formerly known as “Classic’s.” Not to mention “The Cave” when open MIC night was available, The “Ishmael records” talent search, the 1st Hoodstock”, The Lake Edwards basketball weekend tournament & the “Citi Trends/Roc-A-Fella” talent search in Greenville N.C., just to name a few spots.
