I AM INHERGYconSTaNTLY cHaNGiNG...yeT MoViNG in a forward direction!NITA HURT, aka Miss INHERGY, is a dynamic motivator/artist/entertainer/entrepreneur who has been entertaining since age 5. Nita was born in Norfolk, Virginia to Earnest L. Coleman Jr. and the late Sandra P.(Brown)Coleman. Nita was raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia by both her biological God-fearing parents and is the youngest of two siblings, brother Vincent and sister Veronica.
At a very young age Nita knew she had a gift and desire to be an entertainer but friends and family didn’t take her seriously and encouraged her to pursue LAW instead. From her solo of “Feed The Birds†from "Mary Poppins" in her fifth grade chorus, to being the only black cast in her Middle School's One Act play, Nita has always enjoyed being center stage. Her talents are unlimited and she should be considered more than a triple threat.
Nita Hurt is a singer-song writer of various genres, actress, journalist, poet, spoken word performance artist, and print model. She has performed in numerous night clubs, done video extra work, and has been cast in featured roles on the Discovery Channel's "The Prosecutors" and "The New Detectives." Nita was also cast in the lead role as “Mama†in the hit play, "A Raisin In the Sun." Over the years Nita has played the recurring role of "Queen Makeda" in Sheri Baileys play, "Afrikan Kings & Queens." Nita served the United States as a Field Medic in the United States Army Reserve and shared her talents by singing the National Anthem in Fort Leonardwood, Missouri for her graduating military class of over 2,000 people. These accomplishments only touch the surface of Nita’s goals and dreams. Whether it’s modeling, dancing, singing, hosting, or acting, this sensational female is sure to bring life and INHERGY to any room. Although Nita is proud of her accomplishments thus far, the road has not been easy for this talented and creative female. The stresses of life, relationships gone wrong and the devastating loss of her mother to breast cancer in March 2003 caused major setbacks in her entertainment career.Nita has since refocused and is now more determined than ever to succeed. She is the Founder/CEO and Director of INHERGY Entertainment. With the assistance of co-founder James Castro, Nita intends to produce and promote her own reality series detailing her life’s journey. Her hopes are that others who have been through, or are going through, similar situations will be encouraged to strive on. Nita has also decided to donate a percentage of all performances to various charitable organizations.
"My Real Reality, Sides of HURT" is INHERGY Entertainment's first major project. Nita looks forward to meeting new people, accomplishing more goals, overcoming more of life’s challenges, and entertaining all over the world.
Her philosophy and company motto is: “As long as you are breathing, you still have a chance. Quitting is NEVER an option!â€
