Band Members: Madstar is a singer/songwriter whose influences are too many to mention although his music can best be described as electronica. Madstar's music floats on waves of synths sounds, mixed with an infusion of electric guitar and finished off with a melodic vocal and a pinch of industrial sound.Madstar is a kid who did well at a theatre college where he got to dance, act and sing all day. After completing his studies he knew he had to pursue a music career. So off to the big city , Madstar came to vanquish his fears and admantly fulfill all his dreams.Madstar's sound is derived in a studio, where together with the producer (Two genius forces combined) his music is arranged, produced and mixed into its final composition.That to Madstar is the most satisfying part in music process, being able to work creatively with someone else and see a great piece of work manisfest. The rest is history as they often say. The future (on- the- other- hand) greets us with a new dawn and a new perspective, and he forecasts that music will rise and hold hands with its brothers and sisters (visuals, great melodies, great lyrics, great sounds, great image invention and liberated expressions, free of all prejudice) and overwhelm us all.Madstar looks forward to that future. In fact he embraces it. He embraces it with both hands. Influences: The greats that have past on and those that are just beginning to spring out, like mushrooms.... You know who I am talking about. I particularly ask you to extend your mind to artists like prince, madonna, bowie, stevie wonder, maria callas, depeche mode, new order, stevie wonder, the cure, the knife, rammstein (mien hertz brent), pet shop boys, blondie, the inimitable bjork, the masters of chant (not so much sound inventive but rather liquid vocals), linkin park, eminem (like the fire) , the knife, gary numan, fad gadget, the velvet underground & nico , the prodigy, millie vanilla (before we all found out the truth), the list is infinite......but one thing remains certain, they will go down in the history books as sound-inventive- genius's and to most as chameleon artists. Always remaining true to their own creative expression and thus giving us all something to aspire to.....So you are walking down the road and you have an ipod or one of those things we can all hear a mile away..... early in the morn when the sleep is still hanging there in the left eye...still hard and crusted....you come along with your ipod and the music is punching holes in your ear drums...just as it was intended to do..... now instead of listening to the given daily song...the top downloadable song (which ever that might be on any given day) you can go one step ahead...by listening to something entirely differentt...now that is kewl....About A Boy is now downloadable as a ringtone and also as a ipod song selection. Go on put it on. Because you are worth it! :)))))))))))
Sounds Like: Il Castrato.... A eunuch...... Those that heard my sound seem to be in a unanimous agreement that I have a very original sound. I have heard mixed feelings and emotions about my vocals. So far my path in music has been me finding my sound. I am working closely with a shit hot producer to produce a shit hot sound....something like myself.....original, inventive, creative and of course...something that sets a trend.I think it helps to travel unseen through the underground world of london as a creature of the night, prowling for ideas and creative expression. What a city! Keep your eyes glued to this space...... Within time both you and I are bound to soar in its eminence...
