Music, movies, philosophy, clubbing, good books in general, food, wine, whisky, games... you name it, I want it.
Junglists! I'm mainly here to network with other people who are into the liquid genre. DJs, producers, clubbers, whatever, I'm just here for inspiration and it doesn't really matter to me if you're a name on the scene or not :)
Other than that, I thought I'd be fun to see if I could run into some agnostics or atheists who are into philosophy. I figure we could get an interesting chat going.
Big fan of horror movies, David Lynch, 50-70s movies? Gimme a shout!
Check out Mixupload.com to listen in to my latest mixsets. I spend quite a lot of time there as well.
High Contrast, London Electricity, Nu:Tone, Tomahawk.. anything on Hospital Records, basicly. Contour, Calibre, Greg Packer, EZ Rollers, Syncopix. I'm really big into the Jerona Fruits label these days, looking very much forward to a lot of their future releases. "Love & War" Anyone? Such a mad track, can't wait to get that in my bag.
Apart from the liquid funk, which is my main interest, I'm also into hip hop, funk, jazz, breakbeat (mainly nu skool), blues, reggae (although mostly the drum and bass flavored reggae), and a few metal artists also keeps me coming back for more... Listening to Roots Manouva and DJ Shadow as I'm writing this. Really good stuff if you ask me.
Massive David Lynch fan. Horror, Sci-Fi, 50-80s movies, film noir, asian cinema. I'm into a lot of genres, but the new school from Hollywood doesn't interest me all that much. Always up for a good chat about movie recommendations.
My movie top 3 would look something like this:
1) Lost Highway
2) Requiem for a Dream
3) Seven Samurai
But then again... This list changes all the time (except for Lost Highway)
I don't really watch TV. Too much crap being aired these days. I almost only turn it on when I'm about to watch a movie. Used to watch a lot of Frasier, though, I still love that show. Only problem is that I've been through all the episodes twice, or something like that.
The favourites?... Camus (La Chute), Sartre (Le Jeux Sont Faits, La Nausée), Kirkegaard. The holy trinity of good philosophy, basicly ;)
Robert G. Ingersoll
The great agnostic. Rest in peace.
Milton Friedman
David Lynch
Jean-Paul Sartre
Marty Feldman. How could you not love this guy? Not really a hero, I guess, but an honorable mention none the less. Rest in peace, old boy.
