How, and why, did you get started?
I acquired my brother's hand-me-down direct drives after the hard house scene started to take off in west Wales. He gave me some prog trance and funky house to get me started.
It wasn't long before I started mixing and collecting drum 'n' bass after my mate, and long-time partner in crime, Leon, aka DJ Lembo, lent me some of his jump-up collection.
Where do you DJ locally?
I currently have a residency at Impact of the Drop, in the Playground nightclub (formerly T's) under Pulteney Bridge, in Bath which happens once a month.
I also broadcast twice a week (Wednesdays and Sundays) on a broadband radio site called DarkFM.
What's your style?
Over the years, I moved away from the darker drum 'n' bass, which dominated my record bag early on, to more liquid and soulful styles.
Most recently, I've begun to encompass everything into my sets.
One of the things I admire most about the drum 'n' bass scene is the staggering variety in styles available, so I try to keep it varied and flowing when I play out.
I still listen to a lot of d'n'b when I'm not DJ-ing, along with hip hop, chilled beats, trance, house, and metal - it depends on my mood.
Who do you rate DJ wise?
Don't think I could name one. I admire Marky's style and pace, Hype's consistency, Andy C's variety... and Krust's filthy vibe.. not to mention the countless other quality DJs out there.
Where would you most like to play?
The Academy in Bristol, or Fabric would be nice.

I was drunk and they
got me out of my car
put the bracelets on
and made me lay down
on the roadway

they stood in their

I looked up

thinking,
here I am

this then was
my critical review
