About Me

Hey!My name is Joanne or Jo to most people, I am 26 (eeek) and I'm living in Swansea at the moment with my fab housemates! I'm doing BA Hons in Primary Education, 3 year course, in my 2nd year now - I'm going to be a primary teacher! Scary stuff actually as I can't do maths myself let alone teach it! Oh well!This course is going to be my last one (did 2 before this one!) as I'm getting too old now! I didn't do very well in my 'A' levels because I was/am ill and I was having loads of hospital tests done at that point - so after my A levels I worked in a garage for a year (hello for anyone who used to come in!) and then decided that I couldn't be in that job for the rest of my life and decided to go to Uni (number 1!) in Buxton doing a HND in Beauty, Health and Spa Management, whilst also gaining my masseuse qualification! I met some great people whilst I was there - still in contact with most of them and also met Nick and started singing in his studio - doing backing vocals etc and also wrote and sung a few of my own - so if anyone is looking for a backing/session singer I'm there! After I had completed my HND a friend of mine - Samara - hello! - said she was doing a BTEC in Musical Theatre in Bridgend and why didn't I do it too because we started singing together in Karaoke and both loved being on the stage so I did!I finsihed this course too and I have also run drama, dance and singing courses in the summer holidays for children which have been brilliant to do! This partly led me into my course now of teaching because I love working with children but also because I realised due to my condition I wouldn't really be able to do full time musical theatre/acting work or work as a Spa Manager - although I love having massages myself! I have Fibromyalgia and de-generated discs in my lower back (oh what joy - can you imagine me as I get older - I already have an old back!) but I am determined that I will be a good teacher and get a good job (holidays are fab too mind you!), although very tiring at the moment.Watch this video about Fibromyalgia so you can understand me and what it is better!:.. width="425" height="350" ..Hmm, so that's where I am at the moment!Jo x

Hmm, not really one type - I like a bit of everything! Like something that I can sing and harmonise too though!..................................................... ............................................................ ............................................................ ..................................................... Done quite alot of backing stuff - which I looooovvvvvve doing!!!! So if anyone wants me to do any session backing vocals work let me know - I tried to set up another account on here and put some of the stuff I've done onto it but don't know how to do that yet!
