Ak-Duck Records was established, in mid-2002, in Jerusalem, by Itamar Weiner, Harel Schreiber and Ariel Tagar. The first title released (August 2002) by the label was the compilation "First Time is Real" containing tracks written by the three founders. That same year Spark-Os debut single, Rediscovers, was released. During 2003 the label issued a debut electronic-analog E.P. by Mule Driver, A mini-album by Tel-Avivian Electro/Drum&Base artist Digital-Me, a collaboration between Grundik & Slava And the Russian artist Ambidextrous and a debut E.P, produced by The Models, for the singer/songwriter Rockstar-Wannabe. Two more titles were released by the label on January 2004, a debut E.P. for Electro-Acid-Dub artist Kalbata and an Electro-Pop mini album by Spark-O, featuring singer Nico-Teen. On March 2004 the label issued its ninth release, a compilation of the labels artists (plus special guests) featuring original artwork made by Mister Ministeck from Berlin. During 2005 the label released 3 more titles for Polish Butterfly (second lp), Acute and israeli pop band Poster Boys.
In 2005 ak duck started a long term split series "Ducks Don't Swim In Swamps". The 5'th volume is due too july 2006 feat Acute & De Pleted. Other Volumes feat. Resses (Ran Slavin aka TonR), Gelbart, Frederik Schikowski, Maps & Diagrams, Broca, Spark O & Mule Driver.
In 2006 The Long awaited Nico Teen debut album was finaly released in collaboration with the label "Something on the road" from jerusalem.
In addition ak duck has been orginaizing musical events once every few months.
In these " label showcases" we combine live performances with dj sets and visual installations.
Ak duck is also the israeli distributor of several record labels from Germany, England, Canada and France.
