Influx have been going for a year with a line up almost unrecognisable from the group that wowed the crowd on their very first gig at the Flapper & Firkin, who were expecting little from the first band performing on that night. The new line up, however, surprised the crowd at Scruffy Murphys when told this was their very first gig together, people were drawing comparisons to Bloc Party, with their stylish and fashionable look and strong melodic groove.Influx a rock band that has such a big solid sound for just a 3 piece band, only more impressive that they can combine strong, varied and original songs to their repertoire. Its always exciting to see musicians playing with belief in their music from Dans strong but subtle drumming, Mikes driving bass lines, Gareths catchy creative riffs and all brought together by a good strong stage presence and moving rhythms.The band has performed in Birmingham, Coventry and Solihull. Impressively the band got a mention in Xposed magazine after just their second gig and was offered a support slot for the lead singer of Spaces side project band unfortunately they could not take them up on that offer due to other commitments.Influx is three different people, with different influences, all brought together by the love of the music they create together and winning crowds over wherever they go!
