I grew up in a small town in NH. I hated it there, and was generally picked on. It sucked. Things didn't get too much better in High School, but Choir did afford me a small chance to branch out and make some friends, a couple of whom I still keep in contact with. I really started developing as a Boy Scout camp counselor. I went to Gettysburg College, where I changed alot. I got into indie music, punk rock, democratic socialism, and generally a healthy disdain for Corporations and Conservatives and a good love of people who actually want to make the world better instead of improve their personal plot of land. I majored in Classical Studies, was involved in Choir and Frisbee (I actually did something athletic!) and went to England for a year. I got back, and finally ditched the assholes in the Frat Community and their incessant binge drinking, apathy, and culture of rape, branching out into fraternizing with the Townies, who I'd always been told were evil but who turned out to be damn awesome people. I had the most life-changing experience ever of working at Summerbridge Manchester, teaching 5th and 6th graders. I graduated and came back to NH to re-ground myself. I now attend UNH to become a Latin teacher, and am teaching Math as a long-term sub at my old high school. Weird. One of my latest interests is sexuality, and gender. Man, is gender a fucked-up system.
