Capri started out as a D.J. in the Bronx. (1980's) Spinning Records Quickly became a passion for Capri and he would spin for any crowd at any chance he could get. Famous for his house parties, Capri would start Recording his sets. Capri's recorded sets would soon travel around the world as he sent MIX tapes overseas to all his friends in the military. His mixes could be heard as far as Guam, China, Okinawa, and the list goes on and on.
Capri has opened shows for the World Famous Cold Crush Brothers, Mantronix and spinning sets at the World Famous Chippendales NYC.. Roxy NYC, Savoy manor BX, NYC.
With an urge to take his talents to the next level Capri found himself Learning the art of Recording Engineer At The Center For Media Arts in N.Y.C. Not stopping there Capri found he had a knack for writing and he began writing one of the most celebrated and sold Freestyle records in the history of Freestyle Music, that song was TEMPTATION Sung By Corina on Cutting/ Atlantic Records.
In The Summer of 1991 Temptation Charted .. 1 On Billboards top sellers Chart, and charted at 6 on Billboards top 100, Making Temptation A huge success and one of Freestyles Classic Hits, not to mention the only Freestyle record to chart at 1. Also With Corina Capri wrote the music for The Ballad No Excuses on Corina's Debut Album, Which Gained him press in N.Y.'s Village Voice.Capri has also worked with Todd Terry( D.J./ Producer) on the Song /Show me the Way. On FREEZE Records Preformed by Saige.
Capri has done musical work for a spot on a Channel 11 N.Y.C. A segment called Gun Crazy. A Short Documentary on Gun Control in America.
Capri is Married and Has Children. @ the age of 3 His son was diagnosed with Autism, Capri along with his wife have become advocates and are working on several projects geared towards the AUTISTIC and Special Needs Community. They See Brandon's Autism as a gift and an opportunity to learn and grow with their son, And Their Daughter Liani whom has been an enormous help to her Brother.
In the year 2002 Capri was baptized in Christ.. He studies on the Teachings of Jesus Christ, and also studies the Teachings of Confucius and Buddha..
Capri does not believe in organized religion. Or rather that one religion is the way.
God Is HUGE and Complex in Nature. For us to believe we can box or monopolize on the Spirit of which has created us only shows how much more we have to learn.( Capri )
