Millie S.

Millie is a 20 year old latina, born in Lima, Peru but Jersey raised. She is currently attending Rutgers University-Newark, NJ. She originally majored in Communications, however, due to her transfering to Rutgers, her major is now Theatre Art-Television and Minoring in Journalism. She is currently an On-Air Personality for WRNU-Rutgers Radio, (a.k.a. Millie Millz) and is involved with other activities. She is also an On-Air Personality for SPIN RADIO NYC (Brooklyn, NY) and is booked for hosting upcoming events this year. Her theory is "Once you get the speaking down packed..everything else is a piece of cake. Remember that radio was one of the first ways to entertain people through broadcasting; and then television came and that's radio but with pictures...". She's looking forward in crossing over to the television industry later on in her career but her main focus is on entertaining the public with her unique style in her voice. Confidence isn't an issue in her personality because she has accomplished many things for a 20 year old; career wise and personnally. The people that REALLY know her know in fact that she is always positive about any life obstacles. Like any other human being, she is not perfect or tries to be. "I do make mistakes, and believe me, I've made many that has bite me in the butt, haha. Hey but that's life, right?" As a young girl, she has always been surrounded by theater; from grammer school productions to high school and carrying on to acting courses in college. Her talent to the public is breath taking. Growing up, she has seen her father host community ceramonies; "I think that's where I got it from, from my dad." She is also a huge volleyball fan since high school and persued it throughout college. She has been involved with a community dance company called "Raices Peruanas Inc." which is an overall experience of her native dances from Peru; "My mom pushed me to do it since my little brother and sisters did it. It was to break their shyness to watch their big sister do something. But I did enjoy doing it because the experience was awesome. I met different people from different places and we all had one thing in common, dancing." Millie also enjoys helping others and looks for help and advise from wise and experienced people in the industry. She does enjoy hanging out with my friends whenever she can due to her busy schedule. She is extremely family oriented and her backbone of her life are her parents and her grandmother (her biggest encouragement for her to succeed) She believes that her success is someone else's slient killer and they know who they are. She wouldn't wish evil upon anybody because she has a great heart; however do not take her kindness for weakness. She loves to laugh and joke around but as many people know she's also serious when it comes to her work. "I have my priorities straight and I believe that all the negativity that people wish upon me is a huge encouragement for me to succeed in a faster pace". She enjoys doing voluntary work for charity and also enjoys helping people whenever they need a hand. "I have my morals, my beliefs, and I always LEAD the closest people to me positively and with lots of LOVE."
